Crystal Buckner's Story

Dallas mom Crystal Buckner shares her story about how her ex-husband forced their young daughters to view porn with him late at night while he was drinking. With help from the Lillian Smith Foundation, he's now been indicted on two charges of child endangerment and faces up to four years in jail and fines.

After the violence began soon after they married, she wanted to leave him but didn't until she finally concluded he was going to kill her whether she stayed or not. For the sake of her children she decided to leave.

Leigh Anne Bryant's Story (coming)

What's a mother to do after she's been tied up and stabbed several times by her abusive husband when he threatens to harm their baby boy? In Leigh Anne Bryant's case, she managed to get free, get a gun and shoot him before he could hurt their little boy. After he died, she spent a year in Tarrant County jail on capital murder charges until a jury found her "Not Guilty."

Former 911 operator Aundrea Whalen never dreamed she would marry an abusive man. After that first hit, she left with their little boy and never looked back. Then one weekend after a Collin County judge ignored her pleadings and agreed to allow her ex to have unsupervised custody of little Dylan, he killed their little boy and himself with one bullet.
